Unveiling of Indian Diamond Institute’s Newly Designed Laboratory Testing Certificate Featuring the National Emblem of India for the Gems & Jewellery Trade

 The Indian Diamond Institute (IDI), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has been the country’s premier institution providing training to the gems and jewellery trade for the past 48 years. In addition to training, the Institute’s “IDI – Gem Testing Laboratory” offers quality testing and certification for diamond jewellery (natural and lab-grown), loose diamonds (natural and lab-grown), coloured stones, and gold.

 On Saturday, 12-07-2025, the Indian Diamond Institute (IDI), through its Gem Testing Laboratory, unveiled its newly designed laboratory testing certificate featuring the National Emblem of India. This certificate will be issued for diamond jewellery (natural and lab-grown), loose diamonds (natural and lab-grown), coloured stones, and gold quality testing. The unveiling was carried out by the Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister of Gujarat State, Shri Harsh Sanghavi (Ex. Home and Police Housing, Industries, Cultural Activities, Sports & Youth Services, etc.), who graced the event as the Chief Guest.

 This new laboratory certificate is part of IDI’s initiative to promote the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of “Make in India.” To support the Government of India’s “Test in India” initiative, IDI will now issue laboratory certificates for the gems and jewellery sector featuring the National Emblem of India, the “Ashoka Pillar,” under the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. This significant achievement has been made possible through the continuous efforts of Shri Dineshbhai Navadiya.

 Furthermore, Shri Dineshbhai Navadiya stated that IDI has, for many years, been providing reliable and high-quality laboratory certificates to the gems and jewellery sector at very affordable rates. He appealed to all members of the gems and jewellery trade to take advantage of the high reliability and prompt services offered by the laboratory, thereby supporting Indian gem testing facilities. He also reaffirmed IDI’s strong commitment to maintaining quality and transparency.
